Go to www.codieblocks.com/ and click "Sign Up" on the top right menu.
Magic Links are an easier alternative to passwords. To log in to your Codie Blocks account:
- Click “Log in” on the top right.
- Enter your email address, and click “Request login link.”
- Click on the link in your inbox to log in instantly.
- Check your Spam folder to make sure the Magic Link didn’t go there.
- If you still don’t see it, make sure you entered the correct email.

Your Classroom Key, or App Login Code, allows you to access your classes and student profiles from any device.
To locate your code:
- Log in to your Codie Blocks account.
- From the top menu, click “Dashboard.”
- In the Dashboard, select “App Login Code” from the left menu.
You’ll see both a nine-character code and a QR code. Both codes can be used to log in to the app on a mobile device.
Educator Portal
A Classroom License supports up to 50 students, with each student having a unique profile.
- Classroom Licenses run for one school year (July 1 – June 30), unless otherwise specified.
- If you’d like your license to start and end on different dates, please contact support@codieblocks.com to request custom dates.
Each Classroom License includes:
- One teacher account with access to all 20 Codie Blocks lesson plans, including videos, discussion questions, and unplugged activities.
- Up to 50 student accounts, which can be used with the Codie Blocks App.
- All account information, including logins, classes, and student progress for all students, is saved back to the Teacher Account.
- Log in to your Codie Blocks Teacher Account.
- Click “Dashboard” from the top menu.
- In your Dashboard, click “Classrooms.” To create a classroom, click “+Create” on the top right. Enter the classroom name, choose start and end dates, and click “Save.” Repeat this step to create as many classrooms as you’d like.
- Log in to your Codie Blocks Teacher Account.
- Click “Dashboard” from the top menu.
- In your Dashboard, click “Students” from the left menu. To add a new student profile, click “+Create” on the top right. Enter student’s name and a parent email address (optional), select a color and avatar for the profile, and assign student to a classroom by selecting the name of the appropriate classroom. Repeat this step until all of your students have individual profiles
Curriculum
You can find the curriculum in the Educator Portal.
There are currently 20 lessons - one lesson for each episode in season 1 of Mia & Codie.
- Each lesson includes 3 distinct parts:

- Part 1: Video and Discussion. A 4.5-minute Mia & Codie episode with questions to guide discussion.

- Part 2: Mobile App. Students complete structured levels and freeplay activities in the Codie Blocks App.
- Each lesson is designed to take around 45 minutes to complete.

- Part 3: Unplugged Activities. Screen-free exercises that can be printed out and completed as a whole group discussion or individual activity.
Codie Blocks is designed for ages 3 to 7 / PreK to 2nd grade.
- Codie Blocks is aligned with CSTA standards and supports educators in integrating coding and computational thinking into early learning.
- While it includes a dock and playful blocks, Codie Blocks isn’t a toy – it’s a fully supported educational tool. We provide teachers with professional development, lesson plans, and classroom activities that align with STEM goals and help students develop crucial 21st-century skills.
Yes, our lessons are based on Mia & Codie episodes, so new lessons will be added as each season is released. Season 2 launches in 2026 – stay tuned for more details and content!
Dock-n-Blocks
Yes, Bluetooth is required to connect your Dock-n-Blocks to your mobile device.
Each Dock-n-Blocks automatically unlocks a license for all levels of the Codie Blocks App.
Please note that the curriculum is not included with the Dock-n-Blocks. It is only available through the Codie Blocks Digital Licenses or Starter Kit.
Yes, Dock-n-Blocks are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Click here for more information on warranty.
Additional Dock-n-Blocks, with no digital license, can be purchased by reaching out to us at sales@codieblocks.com!
Codie Blocks App
The Codie Blocks App works on:
- iOS devices (iPad and iPhone)
- Android tablets
- Some Chromebooks (via the Google Play Store) – feel free to check with us at support@codieblocks.com
You can download the Codie Blocks app in the App Store and Google Play Store.
No, a Dock-n-Blocks is not required. The Codie Blocks App can be used as a fully digital experience. However, we highly recommend the physical Dock-n-Blocks for the best learning outcomes, especially for younger students who benefit from hands-on, kinesthetic engagement.
There are two ways to unlock the Codie Blocks App:
- Dock-n-Blocks – The app automatically unlocks whenever Dock-n-Blocks are connected via Bluetooth.
- Digital Classroom or School License – The app automatically unlocks for students with accounts under a Digital Classroom or School License, provided the students are signed in to their accounts.
The app includes 40 levels of coding challenges plus a freeplay area called Mia’s Room, which offers hours of creative, open-ended play, where Codie can use the rewards earned from completing levels.

Yes, Codie Blocks complies with all student data privacy laws including FERPA, COPPA, NY Ed Law 2d, and California CPPA.
Yes, if your district requires a Student Data Privacy Agreement, please email us at support@codieblocks.com.
We do not collect or store any student PII. Teacher-created student screen names are used only for logging in and tracking progress.
No, Codie Blocks never sells data to third parties.
